I am using a trial version of Adobi Premiere pro and it will not recognise mpg files created with Compropvr tv capture card.
Any one with a solution.

Some dv editor progs don't see mpeg1 files, only mpeg2 and avi. You may need to get an mpeg1 plugin from Adobe.

Thanks MichelleC for your input, I was not using my brain, as usual!!!
I use Compropvr videomate to capture video from a vcr and the Tv, this is saved as MPG. Looking into the setup on videomate I find that I can change the format that it saves. I have changed it to avi stream and it works fine, no encoding needed.
Thanks again for your input. Brus
