AdobePhotoshop Elements 2 - Adobe Online

I have recently installed Photoshop Elements 2. When I click updates on the Help menu a window opens telling me that I need to connect to the Internet to update files. When I click yes, the following two windows appear.

1. Adobe Online Error.
File could not be downloaded.
click here. 3AOMVer=2.8.3.3
Your computer is not configured correctly for Adobe Online.
Please check the TCP/IP and HTTP roxy port settings in the Internet control settings.

2.(This is greyed out)
Updating Adobe Online components from Adobe,com
Downloading File 1 of 2.
No personal information is being transmitted.

Any help will be very much appreciated.

You can always go to the Adobe site and download from there....

This is for Windows downloads not for Macs but Mac updates are available from the site too.

When you first installed Adobe photoshop, did it ask you whether you wanted the program to be able to connect to the internet?


Also, have you got a firewall running? It could be that the firewall will not Adobe Photoshop connect to the internet.
