Adobe Shockwave Player

I need to open a .swf file and understand that to do this I need Adobe Shockwave Player. I have been to the Adobe site and downloaded this programme but I can't find out where it has downloaded to.

I am running a Dell 1720 Laptop with Vista Home Premium loaded. Can anyone explain why I can't find it? When I try to download it again Adobe tells me it is already installed!!

Try double-clicking the .swf file - Shockwave should launch and play the file.

Thanks VoG™ but when I do that it requires me to associate a programme with the file extension but I can't find where the shockwave player is installed to associate the .swf file to the the programme.
