Adobe Reader taking its time...

Hi guys,

I have adobe reader 5.0.1, so its quite an old version! Most of my lecture notes are in pdf file on the internet.

Recently I have noticed that when opening a pdf file on the net, or one saved on my hard disk seems to take way longer than it should.

Does anyone know what this could be caused by, or what could be done to speed it up?

Would getting the newest version of adobe reader help?

It may help but in my case I think the newer versions actually take longer to start up than the older versions, only suggestion I have is to defrag the hard drive and see if that helps any.

You could always try the Foxit Reader from click here
It is smaller and loads quicker than Adobe.

Do you know if there is something similar for Adobe Photoshop Elements 2.0 and Adobe Photoshop Album 2.0?
