Adobe Reader doesn't load

My O.S. is WinXP and I am running adobe reader 6. I tried to update this from your DVD without success. At start of setup I get the screen 'Setup being processed' then when it reaches 100% I get the message Error 1327 Invalid drive :D:\.
I recently dissconnected this drive as it was failing, but my Adobe 6 is situated on the C:\
I can't see why drive D;\ causes a problem in the setup
Can anyone please help

Totally agree with Mat Alan. I dumped Adobe a couple of years ago and have never had problems with document files coming through. Foxit also allows pdf editing and file conversion.
