Adobe Reader 8 - Beware!

Reader 8 was downloaded from the coverdisc,(April 07) and apart from the size of it , seemed to be ok, with a nice new interface.

But,there appear to be lots of issues with it:
1. Especially if you have a HP printer, the 'print' command doesn't seem to work from the reader - HP and Adobe are 'working' on a fix, apparently.
2. When running the reader, it seems to slow the whole system down, and has caused my computer (XP) to freeze.

For now, I'm using 'Foxit' as the reader, and it seems to be OK.

Oh!

I've been using this software since it was first launched several months ago and it has never caused me problems with HP printers, slowing my system or anything else.

Ditto here - no problems with Reader 8.

Works with my HP printer at the office. Have changed to foxit at home as sometimes pdf files on websites did not always open. But that might have been my puter throwing a slight wobbler.

I have a HP all in one, and updated to Adobe 8 a few months ago, and as the others have said, I've not had any printing problems either.

The only problem I did have was me not reading the instructions for the printer properly.

Oh well.

Perhaps it is something else then in the 'system'.
