Adobe Reader 7.05 Uninstall Problem

I've been trying to Uninstall Adobe Reader from the Add/Remove Panel and keep getting this
Windows Installer Message;-
This patch package could not be opened.
Verify that the patch package exists and that you can access it, or contact the application vendor to verify that this is a valid Windows Installer patch package.
Anyone out there had this trouble before?

Try running click here then reinstall Adobe, then uninstall it.

Take the advise of VoG,I had to use "clean up" before I could upgrade to 7.08. I was getting the same message as you.

Thank you both for your help & advice which was very much appreciated.
Downloaded the Windows Installer Cleanup Utility and did as advised. Thought it was going to work as the Windows Installer prepared to install Adobe Reader, then up popped the dreaded message again, so I'm afraid I'm no further forward.

Have now resolved the problem. Thanks again.
