Adobe Photoshop tool bar

I have somehow inadvertantly caused the tool bar on Adobe Photoshop CS to lodge itself halfway down the screen across the image. I cannot find a way of returning it to the top of the screen under the top bar. Can anyone help

Not sure which tool bar you mean, but if it's the main one you should have a shaed area on the left-hand end of the bar. Click and hold down on this and drag it to the top whwre it will auto-dock.

If you mean the toolbox, this is a floating palette and you just drag it by the blue bar at the top of the toolbox

you can rest your palettes and tool bars by resetting your workspace, I think it's windows>reset workspace or something along those lines.

Just to clarify that advice: in Photoshop click Window>Workspace>Reset Palette Locations.

That should do the trick.
