Adobe Acrobat Writer

I have Adobe Acrobat Reader at the moment (free download) but wish to edit the text in some pdf files I have.

Does anyone know if there is a writer / text editor version available, free of charge, from either Adobe or a third party?

Yes, of courser there is. What you have is the free reader version of Adobe Acrobat, and you'll need to cough up for it. I see that Ebay have v5 on sale - current price £50. Acrobat 6 is out but this will set you back nearly £200.

However, take a look at click here

Its a question I posed a few weeks ago and got some really good links.

Have a look through the thread!

I think it's worth pointing out that the idea of pdf is that you CAN'T edit the text. Once you save as pdf, you cannot just edit words like in word etc. PDF can only be highlighted or "drawn over" with a pencil tool as far as I'm aware (I have Adobe Acrobat 5)
