I run Windows 2000 Pro and have got a problem loading Adobe Acrobat Reader v6.0 from the Pc Advisors last 3 or 4 cover discs.

The set-up cannot find the appropriate file.

Has anyone else had any problem with this installation and, if so, how was it resolved.

Ensure any previous versions have been uninstalled prior to installing.

I have two or three versions of Adoble Acrobat Reader, including 6, on my system and know of others who do as well.

Some programs still use earlier versions for some reason to bring up .pdf files.

An update for version 6 was made available from last week.

I'm surprised that bjantbear can't install it on his system - try the support page at:

Other folk reported this as a problem in past weeks and found that clearing past versions helped - merely passing that suggestion on.

I do not know what happenned but I tried to install the programme from the cover disc that I got today and, lo and behold,it worked.

Thanks everyone for your replies.
