Thanks for the info...

It provided a direct download link (I'd rather read it up first as I use FoxitReader as my default) plus a razor blade advertisement, sound only...:-)

I'll try the Adobe website...

I have Acrobat Reader 7 does this mean that Adobe will update it to reader 8 in the same way that Microsoft update Windows.

If I am able to update it from the Adobe site will I have to first uninstall my original Acrobat Reader 7 and is the new one worth the effort anyway?

I uninstalled Adobe Reader 7.0.8 before installing version 8.0

Just discovered the "razor blade" advertisement is for IBM at the top of the page - must have caught it with the mouse cursor....:-)

Thanks, I did download it earlier but it has become a little bloated at 110MB click here so I have joined Stuartli and changed to Foxit, only 3.69MB.

If you choose to change I found I needed to uninstall Adobe first then try to open a pdf so that I could browse to associate Foxit with the pdf files.

I use both as necessary but FoxitReader is set as the Default reader.

Just out of curiosity (not a trick question I assure you!) what does Adobe do that Foxit does not as a reader. (I do not mean say as an editor unless that is the answer)
