administrator login page suddenly appearing on xp

  pcgal 19:03 28 Jul 03

My home computer has always automatically logged into windows xp on startup. I've not altered anything and no passwords are set but now the administrator log on screen appears at startup and after a screensaver has run.
It isnt prompting me for a password, I just click on the picture next to administrator and I'm back into windows. It's annoying because my second pc connects to the internet via this main pc and now I need to manually log into windows when I want a connection for my client pc where as before I simply switched my main computer on and my client could connect after a couple of minutes. How do I get rid of this logon page?????

You could try Start, Run, enter

and click OK.

On the Users tab untick "Users must venter a user name and password...".

In Control Panel, open User Accounts.
Click "Change how users log on or off"
Clear the check by "Use Welcome Screen".
