My friend gave me MS office to install.
when i click 'install' it says 'only an administrator can install'...

however i AM set up as the administrator..!

any suggestions!?

The administrator account is hidden in Vista, and users always run as a standard user, regardless of how they have set themselves up.

Find the setup file on the CD, right click on it and select Run as Administrator.

There are many user differences in Vista, not the least is UAC, which is what you are experiencing. May I suggest a good book on how the OS works before you try to go too deep.

Nope. Your user account will state that you are admin., but that is not how you will run.
