Adequate protection?

Hi,

I have been having loads of problems of late with my Internet connection suddenly going very slow and intermittently hanging. I've since reviewed my security and think I may have had too many programs. Before I had:

AVG 9
ZoneAlarm Firewall
AdAware Anniversary Edition
Spybot
SUPERantispyware

I've since changed this to:
Avira AntiVir Personal
ZoneAlarm
Spybot
SUPERantispyware

Is that enough protection or am I missing something really obvious? I believe Avira has real-time protection that Spybot doesn't - I didn't install TeaTime as it slows down everything.

What do people think? Advice would be most welcome!

Have you checked that the air vents are clear of dust and fluff if so inside will also need cleaning.
Maybe give C Cleaner a run.
Are you using the latest version of Zone Alarm.
Have you run a defrag recently.If not i would run one.

Have you got enough disc space left and enough memory.

If using Internet Explorer maybe try IE7Pro add-on.
Make sure ad-blocker is ticked and mini Download manager is unticked.

You could always download Malwarebytes free and just run it once a month it is one of my favotites
