Address bar history

Hi all, just fitted a new hard drive and I now have an annoying problem with explorer. Problem is, after I have visited web pages, they used to be storred so I could just use the drop down arrow at the end of the address bar, which would give me a list of all the web pages I have visited. I could then click on the web address and be taken straight to the page. This no longer happens because as soon as I log off when I log back on even if it's minutes later, clicking on the drop down arrow shows no web addresses. As I am a virgin media customer I am running PC Guard on my computer. does anyone know if it's explorer or PC guard that is stopping the web pages being remembered. Hope i have explained this clearly. Thanks for any help.

Do you use Internet Explorer?

If so, go to Tools>Options>Content tab>Enable AutoComplete.

In Firefox it's done from the Privacy tab.
