Add/Remove Programs - rogue entry

  isca2 22:35 20 Dec 05

Have just uninstalled a large orogram ( finished Quake4 ) but it has left the icon behind in the Add/Remove list, albeit with no files. The file size is zero. Can anyone recommend a program that IU can use to delete this. Not a problem I know, but still annoying !

ccleaner click here will do this.

Go to run, type regedit, go to Edit\Find type Quake4 press enter check entry if OK delete it the press F3 for next ref in regedit till you get to the end. Do not mess with any other items

Thanks VoG, that's what I thought, but has had no effect unless I am running the wrong part of CC.

1. Start regedit
2. Navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows
3. Delete the folder of the program.

I have the same problem with a folder called Diskeeper which I uninstalled weeks ago. Regedit and various reg cleaners including uninstaller, cccleaner regcrawler tell me that Diskeeper folder is not on my machine but by jingo it is staring me in the face and it is empty.Nothing will remove it.
