Adding track breaks to large music files

Can anyone recommend some free software for inserting track breaks into large music files.

The free Audacity click here should do. Or any other audio editor - even the one that came with your soundcard. The only downside is that it may be a long & tedious job. G

If you're trying Audacity & going to work with mp3 files, you'll also need to download & install the free LAME MP3 encoder click here.

Realised that I've an older version of Audacity installed, & am about to istall the latest. Shouldn't be too many changes - hopefully!
