hi , my pc recently crashed , now when i have restored it all my shortcuts have dissappeared from my start bar , but all the folders are still there.

even the accessories and system tools contents have gone. (like system restore , calculator etc)

whats is the best way to restore these / put them back again ?

thanks

How did you get your computer back up and running? I ask because it may have a bearing. The only way I can think of is to go to the program in question highlight it and choose "Pin to Start menu" or drag and drop it there.(delete all the old remanants first if there are any)

i originally had a Registry error , i couldnt boot up at all even in safe mode.

to fix it i had to download BartPe and use a programme called XP Recovery cd maker that lets you restore windows using the windows system restore points.

what do you mean it may have a bearing??

thanks
