Adding Second Computer to Wireless Network

For weeks I have been trying and failing to add my W98se Laptop to my Wireless Network which has Voyager2091 and a WXP2 Laptop.
After the XP Wizard has transferred the Network Setup, by USB Flash Drive, to computer 2 (W98se) and has installed its files it reboots the W98se computer. Then as the Wizard reappears
it says it cannot complete the Network because it cannot find info on the
hardware, which it says must be installed first. The computer then finishes booting without the Network being established and the two computers are still unable to see each other.
BUT the Modem / Router, the BT Network Card and computer 1 (WXP2) are all installed and running.
We know the BT Card is OK because we access Broadband on the W98se machine, and have done so just before trying to get the Network Setup to work.
Can anyone advise me what to do now?
