Adding a new key to W7 Registry

I need to add the following to the Registry of W7. I know how to physically do this (Regedit) but I'm unsure exactly what to do:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Lsa /v lmcompatibilitylevel /t REG_DWORD /d 00000001

I'm OK with the registery tree down to \LSA which already exists but what do I do/how do I enter the part starting:

/v lmcompatibilitylevel /t REG_DWORD /d 00000001

Any help gratefully received.

Thanks for that. I've added the key as a DWORD and my program now runs under W7. Very pleased!
