adding 2nd monitor

have been given a monitor due to local school upgrading, works fine, what do I need to set it up? I asume I need another video card? running xp with 256 Mb RAM and 60 Gb HD. have done a search using "monitor" as the search word but nothing there

If you want to run two monitors together, then yes another card is needed.

Or you can connect it to the same card that you are using now if it has a second monitor output.

If you currently have a single monitor AGP card, your options are to change this for a dual monitor card, or get a second, PCI, graphics card.
