added more ram- still low percentage free

  adji 12:52 15 Sep 03

I have just upgraded to 256mb ram from 128. System resources still says 63% free when I'm doing nothing. I just logged on to pc advisor, & its gone down to 39%. Surely it should say more than this? I've got AMD 1200 processor & 40gog hard drive. It says 224ram. Can this be right?

The system resource information does not indicate the amount of memory in the computer. Adding more RAM will not always change the amount of resources available but it may allow the computer to continue to function with lower resource levels.
