Add video clip to PowerPoint

I am trying to add a 57 sec video clip to the last slide in a PowerPoint presentation (Office 2003). I have converted the video to an .avi file and can insert OK. Unfortunately it runs at almost 10 times its speed (the whole clip lasts for 6 secs) and has no sound. Does anybody know how to correct this please?

If you right click on the clip after inerting it in the slide and select Play Movie does it still run fast with no sound?

Click the movie to select it.
On the Format menu, click Picture, and then click the Size tab.
Select the Best scale for slide show check box, and then click Reset.

You could try the clip converted to wmv in Moviemaker as Power Point will play that as well.

Yes - right clicking and selecting play movie does result in a fast run with no sound. I'll try your suggestions when I get back to work. Thanks again.

Your link worked beautifully. It plays full screen the first time round but when the presentation is looped, it goes down to about a quarter size in the middle of the screen. Not a major problem, just annoying.
