Do you use Visual C++ - i.e. are you a programmer? If not you can delete them. But these must have been installed deliberately, not via automatic updates.

No i am not a programmer so i will delete visual c ++
i will also delete client pack 1.0 for xp,but i have media player 11 so i will keep usermode driver framework pack 1.0.

I removed visual c++ 2005,but when i tried to uninstall client pack 1.0 for xp a box came up saying if you continue these programs and security updates may not work properly,a list of my programs i use came up,ie java 6, diskeeper lite, realtek ethernet lan drivers, and others,so i will leave well alone.

Found out the c ++ 2005 is part of the setup files for my logitech key/mouse.
