Add 2003 DC to existing 2000 DC network

Can anyone tell me what the impact will be of adding a Windows 2003 Server DC to our existing network of 4 Windows 2000 DCs - i.e., will it mess things up?

I'm sure Microsoft have a useful tool for doing this, but I can't find it. Ideally, we would like to replace all of our existing Domain Controllers with 2003 Server, but we can't justify doing them all at once. Is it possible to do them one at a time and successfully run a mix of 2003 and 2000 Domain Controllers?

Hope this make sense! Thanks for taking the time to read this post.
