Adaware Issues

  Sorted 12:19 11 Nov 07

I've used Adaware+ software for sometime and it worked really well however, they recently issued a new version and now my PC has slowed to a snails pace, particulary when using the internet. Their contact support is useless and i am now informed that the program doesnt seek out root kits. Can anyone offer advice or suggest an alternative - I am particlarly interest in ones that provided real time monitoring.
I also use Norton Internet Security 2006.

You didn't say if you wanted free s/w, but anyway I use these two,

Spyware Doctor & Asquared both do real time monitoring and search for rootkits, and both i've seen reccommended here, also use Spybot S&D and SpywareGuard both free.
