Adapter from VGA on laptop to Red/White/Yellow on

I have a cable which came with the laptop which has the coloured plugs on each end. Is it possible to get an adapter to plug the cables on one end of the cable into it? My tele is getting on a bit and doesn't have a VGA port.

What sockets are on the laptop (VGA, HDMI etc) and what sockets are on the TV (scart, component, composite etc)?

HI, Laptop has S-videoTV-out, DVI, VGA, IEEE 1394 connector. TV has Scart AV1 and AV2, Headphone socket, AV input panel has S-Video, Red/White/Yellow sockets.

When you say "I have a cable which came with the laptop which has the coloured plugs on each end" what plugs are on each end?
Your best picture would come from using a s-video cable (for picture) coupled with a 3.5mm to 2 RCA cable for the audio. The audio cable would run from your line out/headphone socket on the laptop to the white and red sockets on the AV input panel.

The cable has three plugs, Red/White/and Yellow.

My previous post stands then re best picture.
I dont know why you got that cable with the laptop as it doesn't have those connections!

Thanks for your help, I'll get the necessary cables and give it a go.
