Eudora v.6.1 [my default e-mail prog] suddenly failed to connect to my ISP. Error message is: ‘Error reading from network; connection closed by foreign host’
Outlook connects ok & sends & receives mail. Internet connection also ok. ISP reports no problem their end and I pinged successfully. I’ve uninstalled/reinstalled Eudora but no change. Event viewer shows the following:
Under System:
Warning: source: E100B category: none event:4
Adapter Intel® PRO/100 VE Network Connection: Adapter Link Down

Under Application:
Warning: event system Category (52) Event 4354
The COM+ Event System failed to fire the ConnectionMadeNoQOCInfo method on subscription {C0FCBACA-8CEE-46C9-8178-344D1DD4D2AD}-{00000000-0000-0000-0000-000000000000}-{00000000-0000-0000-0000-000000000000}. The subscriber returned HRESULT 80010105.

OS is XP Home. I haven't changed any Eudora settings. Norton AV, Zone Alarm 4.5 installed (Eudora has access fully enabled).

Any help much appreciated.
