to adapt pc to take cassettes

hell room i would to be able to play my cassettes on my pc, is there a pc cassette player on the market, or any idea's of what I need or how I could achieve my aim.

Hi, you need a cassette player with a Line Out socket and a Audio Card in pc with a Line In socket.

thanks tech, but I am surre I have a audio card on the pc, just to make sure how do i find out, and if so , then all I need is something like a walkman then , regards yama

have conected cassette player to pc line out line in, shows portable media devices in control pannel. switch cassette on not a thing can I hear, so any advice please ??? do I hve to have the cassette player plug into mains or is it ok use of betteries, regards yama

You can use mains or batteries - the former will provide more stable running for the cassette recorder.
