I have tried to install a programme from and I keep getting message saying cannot install because activex controls are enabled in your browser. Anyone tell me how to disable them so I can install? and would I need to disable after installation. Cheers chaps, Terry B.

diesel1948, goto internet options, click the Security Tab, goto security for this zone, goto custome level. ActiveX is in there. I don't know about the other bit. Sorry.

The ActiveX settings should be left at the Default configuraton in Security.

Overall security is probably more important that one particular program.
