I keep getting ,when i'm using internet explorer, active x boxes, asking yes/no if i
want to use them. How do i get rid of

In IE, Tools/Internet Options, Security tab, Custom Level button and change the settings.

it really depends when you are getting these messages or rather where. You can go to tools/internet options and then security/custom level and change the value in "download signed active x controls" ( it is probably set at prompt. I would be reluctant to change it though as it could let something through that you dont want. look click here
