Acronis and Dynamic Discs

Is there a version of True Image that works with dynamic discs?

My hew Acer Iconia has a dynamic disc and my existing version doesn't do dynamic.

I'd like to stick with Acronis as it has kept me fairly safe for years.

Alternatively a dynamic to basic disc converter that doesn't lose data.

I've Googled a couple of times but it seems to be an absolute maze!

Have you tried using Acronis CD by Booting with the CD, it should then let you create a backup to other Drive or Partition.

It will most likely see the disc after starting with Acronis CD if its plugged in

Can't run Acronis, so can't make an Acronis CD!

You can download the rescue disc ISO from Acronis, once you have registered.

Problem has now been solved by downloading a required add-on, Acronis Plus (an extra £25, not good) which I was not aware of.

For the record, my problem was not a recovery one, but simply that Acronis would not run on this computer because it has a dynamic disc.

The program me would start and then stop with the dynamic disc message.
