acrobat won`t open email attachments

I would be grateful of a little assistance!

I downloaded a trial version of acrobat writer but at the end of the trial I decided to uninstall it.
What thappened then was there was no program associated with .pdf so I went in to tools/folder options/file types and reset .pdf files to open with acrobat reader which was successful UNLESS I have an email with a .pdf attached. In this case I get the message `this file does not have a program associated with it`.
I have to save the attachment to my hard drive then open it. Any ideas why ??

When you opened the file the first time in acrobat writer, you may have had an option to set it as the default program for attachments. If this is the case you would have to reconfigure it to open with Acrobat Reader.

Go to My Computer/Tools/Folder Options/File Types, scroll down to the .pdf extension highlight this and select change. Select the associated program that you would want attachments to open in.
