I installed Acrobat Reader 5.1 from the disk free with PC advisor to my Dell dimension 8100. This was to upgrade 5 It played havoc with Norton Anti- Virus 2003 and I got the dreaded red screen. I had closed all running programmes. I then uninstalled the programme and tried again but same result on removing it still problems. I had to uninstall Norton and re-install but now I am without Acrobat Reader. % used to run fine. Any suggestions?

You could try version 6 available free on the Adobe site.

Download the new version, it normally fixes things. Version 5 had a few bugs in it.

Whats that about a red screen????

Note: it is best to remove the old version (via Add/remove Programs) before installing a more modern version.
