Acer Scanwit 2720s Film Scanner

I've just replaced my Win98 computer with one running XP. I've been trying to find a suitable driver for the SCSI card that came bundled with the film scanner. After much searching I got directed to the BenQ site where I downloaded what they say is an XP driver, but when I try to install it I just get a message that says that the device doesn't support XP! Has anybody had any luck with finding a suitable driver or do I need to buy a new SCSI card? If so will any SCSI card do the trick?

Pardon my ignorance but can't you just connect your scanner by USB?

To XP in general- unless it was a model made for both systems
Win 98 is a DOS based system XP is a NT based system- they simply do not mix.

You can try a something but I suspect being a SCSI driven scanner will more then likely make another stumbling block.

How ever try this.
Go to Start/Programs/Accessories/Program compatability Wizard/ and reset the computer to run as Win 98.

Something may work or on the other hand it may not.

Christmas is but weeks away- Can you visualize that large flat box in shiny paper waiting for you?
