Acer Recovery

Is there any way I can get to the recovery files on my Acer Aspire?

For reasons I won't go into, I've had to install a retail copy of Win 7 64 bit, and Acer e-recovery does not show up in "All Programs"

The "System Reserved" partition is still there, but not accessible.

Any way I can get e-recovery to run?

PS For some reason the recovery discs will not complete the installation.

Try holding down Alt while you tap F10

Or you could try the (old) trick of making the hidden partition visible and in Device Manager mark the Recovery partition as 'Active' and shut down and reboot and it should boot up into the recovery.

You said: The "System Reserved" partition is still there if you are meaning the 100mb one that Windows 7 creates when it is installed - then that's of no use for what you are wanting to do.

Or (and I don't know if this will work if you didn't have W7 on before) you could download the eRecovery program and install it ClickHere

Thanks for the replies. Sorry I should have said the recovery partition, not the system one.

Tried pressing the access buttons on start up, but don't get recovery options.

I'll try the eRecovery download - I wasn't aware of that.
