My Acer Aspire 3502WLMI 40gig hd is divided into 2, Acer(C:)& Acerdat(D:) of which D: is hardly ever used.Is there a way of mergeing the 2 to make one HD.I would prefer it that way. They are both Fat32 and I have XP Home sp2.

Not without third party software such as partition magic.

You can always use D drive for storing my documents, emails etc.

You might be better off storing ALL your data on D: then when windows crashes, you will not lose data. Use Acronis Drive Image to make an Image of a clean install on either D: or an ext drive. You can also change your OE store folder to reside on the D drive, set up a folder and then go to OE>Tools>options>maintenance>store folder

PS when you have done this convert both to NTFS. How? click on an empty part of desktop, press F1 and type convert to ntfs in search box
