Acer Aspire 3610 LCD Problem...

i've just bought a faulty Acer Aspire 3613WLMi and fixed most of the problems but there's a prblem with the LCD.

basically, when i turn the machine on the screen goes completely white, then fades in slowly to the proper display, but everything moves in slow motion, the mouse arrow moves really slowly on the screen, when trying to install windows, clicking a pull down menu took ages and the menu popped up in slow motion and was blurred.

i've tried an external monitor and that worked perfectly fine. I think the LCD's ok because it lights up and there appears to be no dead pixels, i think the fault is with the ribbon cable, any ideas?

Could this be the reason it was faulty in the first place?

the main faults were that it had a bios password, the lid is broken and it had no hdd or ram.

of course this fault was reported, but i don't see what this has to do with anything?

I'd like to know whether it's a fault with the motherboard, lcd or ribbon cables.
