Acer AC Adaptor

I have an Acer Aspire 5738PG.

The power adapter, Acer Part No PA 1650 02 (which is on the blink, hence the query) is 19v with a black tip, same colour as the socket.

The only 19v replacements I can find have yellow tips, and I know these don't fit.

Anybody suggest a source of supply of a black tip 19v, or a yellow/black adaptor?

Please ignore.

Just found one.

Thanks Wiilwell, that's where I found one.

I tried searching for " black tip" instead of "19v"

The Amazon ones seem to have yellow tips; Toshiba ones have black tips. Surprising if the Acer Amazon ones don't fit. Foe Toshiba see:;

Having been 'stung' once regarding buying replacement chargers, I would be inclined to check and have confirmed the details of the device, before making a final purchase.

Going on the link provided by john bunyan, there appears to be a number of options, including 'genuine'?.

Even genuine, using Acer Part No., comes up with a yellow tip.

Surely the diameter, not the colour, is critical - or does the colour denote different diameters?

Expensive, but this one has every tip you could want!

Multi tip power adapter

The last time I bought a multi-function charger was from Maplins, and a few days later bought another similar device from an eBay Hong Kong seller at a much lower price including airfreight charges. On inspection, I was unable to find any difference between the two items, except the UK price being charged!.
