Hi all
Cleaning my keyboard I have accidently deleted my IE desktop shortcut.
Have replaced it with the annoying little arrow shortcut icon.
Anyway I can get original icon back. If not what would the best "tweak" program to lose the arrows with Windows 2k
Thanks in advance for you help.

Have you checked the Recycle Bin to see if you can restore it from there?

Try this. Straight from 'XP Tips'.

Remove shortcut arrow from desktop icons

Here's how you can remove those shortcut arrows from your desktop icons in Windows XP.
Start regedit.
Navigate to HKEY_CLASSES_ROOTlnkfile
Delete the IsShortcut registry value.
You may need to restart Windows XP.

In XP you can restore the icon by going to Display Properties-desktop-customise desktop-tick deskop icons Internet Explorer.

Leave it off the desktop - less clutter! You will have another one in your Quick Launch toolbar.
