Accessing email pics

Please does anyone know how to access photo files sent with extension "pjpeg" ,(as opposed to jpeg)?. My wife has promised me at least 3 brownie points if I can find out.

Just a progressive jpeg, save them and drag/drop the m into your image viewer. Change the extension or file type to .jpeg if required.

brundle, thanks. Found by right clicking on it I could save it to an external hard drive

It is now saved but has been condensed from an original 1.9mb file to a 5.7kb file and is consequently somewhat pixellated. Is there any way I can get the original saved to the initial 'sent' quality?

Change the file extension to jpg, not jpeg. David

What email client? Sounds as if you've only saved a thumbnail.

David4637 is right too, .jpg not .jpeg

Thanks but how do I change an extension please on a received email?

can you not just r click on the attachment and choose save as, then you can choose where to save it to and rename it to *.jpg at the same time
