Access violation and selective startup

  palinka 08:49 06 Aug 07

On shut down I get this message: Access Violation at address 0129B140 Write of 0F11F9C2.
OS is ME.
I've had various problems over the last week after I installed extra RAM (too much, it seems)but I've been able to cure most/all? of them except for this. It goes away if I click it twice and then shut down completes as normal.
I'm also getting a message on startup "You are using selective startup for troubleshooting your computer" - I got rid of that by clicking "don't show this message again", but until my problems earlier this week I'd never seen that message, and I'd not even heard of selective startup.Perhaps I'd always been using it but didn't know?

thanks, Technotiger, but I didn't know I'd put it into Selective startup mode!!
And does it matter? given that it doesn't seem to be affecting anything?

No, it does not matter.

PS - I am also in Selective Mode, on purpose in my case!
