Access - multiple users on network

I am using Access 97 and want to make a database accessable and workable to more than one user at a time on a small network of three PC's.

I am using Windows XP and could switch to XP Office if that allows us all workable access at the same time.

What you want is perfectly feasible and workable. Access uses a special file (.ldb) top avoid someone trying to edit/delete a file if someone else is using it. There lies one of the strengths of Access - it's ability to work on a network.

But it needs needs much more than we can go through on a forum like this! And it all starts off with setting up users and levels.

The Help pages in Access to give descriptions of how its done. Perhaps print them off and work through with a 'spare' copy of the database?

And A97 is a little 'older', a browse in your local library may find an Access book with some help on networking.
