Access is denied [5]

I have re-installed winXP recently as I changed my motherboard. I keep "My Docs" on a seperate drive (partition) so they are not affected, or so I thought! There are certain folder in My Docs that give me the above message. "Access", "My Music", "My pictures", "Word", all respond the same as "system volume information" - access denied!

Why am I locked out off just these folders?

ah, its becasue of XP's securtiy.

What is your user name and give me the full path to each folder.

I have something that might work then again it might not.

Thanks Terrahawk. That was exactly it. I had Simple File Sharing turned off previously, but had not turned it off this time. Then it was just a simple job of resetting permissions. Job done!

Thanks again one and all.
