Hello All
I have decided to change from FAT 32 to NTFS. I am running XP Home and understand that I can change without losing data(Microsoft 307881). However, when follwing their instruction and trying to access the C: prompt I get the message "Windows cannot access specified device, path or file. You may not have the appropriate permission to access the item"
How to I access the item please?

Are you an administrator?

I am the owner of my PC and am the only user. If that makes me an administrator then yes I am. I don't know otherwise

I have checked everything I know, but still am denied access to the C: prompt. XP home tells me I am the administrator since I am the only user of the PC.Does anybody know of a way around this because I want to change from FAT 32 to NTFS? Here's hoping.
