Access 97 "no current record" error on Win2000

I have made a simple table in Access 97 and am trying to design a form based on this table. So I go to the form wizard, transfer all the "available fields" to the selected fields, click next, choose "columnar" (or any of them) and click next following which the error message "no current record" appears. I have to click "OK" and then another message box comes up - this is blank with just an "OK" button. On clicking this, I go back to the original window. I looked at the Knowledge Base and downloaded the latest version of MS Jet 4.0 service pack with no result. Can anyone help? Thanks.

A search of the internet revealed the solution: one has to be part of the Power Users Group in Windows. It is working all right now.
