AC97 Sound Problem

Hi Guys,

I wonder if you can help with a problem i have just encountered with the built in AC97 Sound (5:1) on my M/B (NMD5000).

All was working well until i exchanged my TI4200 g/c for a all in wonder 9800, the installation all seemed to go well.

However i seem to have lost the sound on my front Chanel's, i have tried all the usual things reconnection, checking speaker con-fig and vol and still i can not get anything out of the front 2 speakers.

However when i switch the speakers i can get the sound from the rear connection, Does anyone have any ideas what i can do next.

Uninstal sound from Device Manager, then reinstall sound drivers from Motherboard CD

PS Have you loaded the Drivers from the Motherboard CD yet?

Have you uninstaled the drivers in Device Manager? And it would be a good idea to remove sound from Add Remove before reloading them

Thanks woodchip. After i uninstalled them via device manager and reinstalled it corrected my problem.

Thanks Again
