about warranty

Just wondered, I want to buy my gt. grandddaughter a laptop but as I will be paying it will be in my name, will she, or her dad, be able to take over the warranty with no problems?

I did call PC world about this , and yes, it went to a call centre in India, with all due respect to them, they didn't seem to have a clue what I was talking about.
Can anyone tell me?

i would think if it goes with the receipt it should not be a problem, or you could purchase it in her name and pay with your card?
