Can someone tell me if it would be worth upgrading from a 76ooGt to a 8600GT graphics card?. Am I likely to see any graphical improvement?

8600gt is dx10 so you would see improved graphics in games, but it is not very good so framerates would be slow. 8800gts 320 memory version is a lot better. if you do not play games keep the 7600gt.

Thanks Citadel, the problem is my machine has a small case and I am stuck with physically small graphics cards. Assuming that this is the best card I can buy for the size would it be worth upgrading?, in your opinion?.I know that I could upgrade to a new case, new motherboard but I cannot be bothered with all that hassle.

as they are about the same in games it is not worth upgrading.
