Hi there-I brought very cheaply a handscanner (to use with my laptop)via ebay. The connector is an 8-pin one, same as I have been told as a keyboard or mouse. it was with that reassuarence that I decided to go ahead and buy it. Now I find that I can not get it to connect properly but am unsure if it is just me not doing it properly. Am I better off getting a usb-p/s2 adaptor and using that?

TIA
